But now, several fashion designers are looking to the hand-woven fabric to re-invent the way khadi is seen. Brought under their brand Ssahaworks, which is popular for merging modern techniques with the ancient craft of weaving Khadi, the exhibition, titled Neelavarna: Shades of Blue, being put up at the Artisans Gallery, will be presenting sarees themed around the colour ‘blue’ through the week.
